Description
MEDLUXY® Needle Holder according to Mayo-Hegar is handmade from surgical stainless steel. This Mayo-Hegar Needle Holder is straight with serrated tips and has a total length of 15 cm.
The working surface with serrations is designed to firmly hold the needle so that it cannot slip. The needle holder can be locked in various positions by means of the ratchet. The jaws (working surface) of this needle holder are Tungsten Carbide (TC) hardened, allowing for a very precise working method.
Tungsten Carbide is a hard material and therefore the product has a longer lifespan. The forceps with this design can be recognized by their gold-colored handle.
Usage
Mayo-Hegar Needle Holders are often used for grasping, holding, and guiding needles and surgical sutures.
Cleaning before and after each use, drying thoroughly before storage, and lubricating the hinge with suitable oil will extend the life of the needle holder.
